The Collecting Instinct series was made during a project investigating ideas and thoughts about materials and form. The focus is on the qualities in handmade paper reminiscent of the material origins of the paper pulp, the fragments, threads and structure of the original cloth and other items incorporated into the pieces. The pieces were shown in 2015 in an exhibition at West Dean, Sussex and at Select Showcase, Cheltenham.
